And the last penny goes to.
This past week i went to London for 2 days, i did 2 videos on the streets of London and will hopefully have them up this week.
While there i didn't do much shopping, although i did head to Oxford street because i love the feel and vibe of it (reminds me of inner Sydney).
I had major money/bank dramas while down there but besides that i have decided to have NO MORE spending. As you all should know I'm traveling in September/October so i need to keep any funds for that and also due to work i don't have loads of extra cash coming in (but this is ok because i LOVE my job).
So these shall be my last purchases for a while.

The bag i got at Primark and i couldn't pass it up, i use these canvas bags ALL THE TIME and this one is so cute and funny.
The necklace was from Topshop i will do a whole post on it this week as it was amazing and i want to go into great detail about this necklace.
And i have seen the Holograms on Fee's blog and picked them up because again i have only ever seen them there and never seen them where i could purchase them.
I love my Primark scarves and i am finding that even though its warming up here in the UK i still need a light scarf as there always seams to be a cool breeze.
I picked this because of the colours and patterns then i opened it and realised it was a union jack. I think i love it even more.

My UK list.
I have a list saved on my computer of things i want to do/see/buy during my time in the UK, some things have been marked off (eg London).
On said list was a purchase, one that has been there since i left AUS.
I started reading some blogs while i was home and all these girls showing off the cute, girly little articles from bags to bed covers.
They where all Cath Kidston.
So i put it on my list, to buy myself some lovely articles from this lovely brand.
So that's exactly what i did a couple of days ago i headed to there gorgeous store in Liverpool and purchased 2 items all for myself.
(i say this because i have bought a few gifts from there).
Here they are:
Yes ANOTHER bag. But i use them and i enjoy spending my money on them.
And a little case for my ipod. Its really soft and protected inside.
So now its back to saving my money for travel and such but it feels so good to tick something else off.

Let me take you back to the begining!
When i was younger for many years (including my first Christmas) we had a white Christmas tree. Recently i was shopping in Liverpool and i spied a shop filled with (among other things) Christmas trees of all different colours and sizes.
I expected them to be far to expensive but tonight i decided to go in a have a dream.
To my very pleasant surprise the smallest of the trees was only 4.00pounds and the little glass baubles where 3.75pounds for a pack.
So i thought it was only fitting that for my first tree on my own i pick a white one, to offset this i got a pack of pink and white baubles.
Presenting my tree:

Then while i was there i spotted this cute little bag and had to pick it up.
OH dear my parents are shaking there heads right now : )

Bag: 5.00pounds.

Outfit of the day
Heres me a little outfit of the day for you. I took these photos this morning before i headed out for a little shopping with my friend Jenny from work.
This is the debut of my natural hair, i very rarely wear it natural because normally its a little more crazy than this.
But yes my hair is naturally a fuzz ball of curls!
I wore 2 layers of messop (again from Aus) a top i bought from forever new back home its a satin Cotton mix and is like a size 18 but i love it! My cardi is from Primark and my jeans are staggers.
This is also the first time i have used my bag i bought on my birthday weekend, it was so nice to use and a lady on the bus said she liked it admittedly she was well into her 80's but who cares!

My weekend.
Ah its Wednesday and im finally doing my weekend, i think this whole working thing is taking its toll on me!
I had a pretty boring weekend this time round Kirk went and watched the Everton game with his sister on Saturday arvo and on Sunday i went and did some grocery shopping.
On Saturday morning though after recieveing the news about my mutch loved Grommit i had to head to town to open a bank account and of course do a little bit of shopping!
I also got a outfit of the day for you : )
This is me and my good friend Hello Kitty, she is wearing a lovely one off pink dress is white detail, white tights and pink shoes. Im wearing my Everton shirt which is strippy but from this picture (off Kirks phone) looks rather odd! Jeans and blue flats i have my Toy watch and Pandora on and am using a vintage bag that i bought at cow for 4.00pounds.
Now to my shopping, I bought these shoes from New Look on Friday after seeing them and going away to have a think. They cost me about 22.00pounds. I wore them yesterday they where so comfortable especially for new shoes!

And i finally got my Topshop gloves!!!! Well these are my second pair as my first ones broke but they exchanged them for me. They are lovely so worth the 6.00pounds!
I went to Lush again and this time asked for a bath bomb that would make me happy. I will reveiw this over the weekend!

Then i went to Primark, as you all know im not a full on primark lover but buying 4 things that i needed and coming away with change from a 20.00pound note is always something to smile about!
I got these little house slippers, my new house is all lino floor so i need something to keep my feet warm seeing as summer has now gone!
I got this huge, thick, yummy and warm cardi. A girl (Jenni) in my class wears something similar and i really wanted a big thick one. I tried on one in Topshop but for 35.00 pounds i had to think about it. Then i found this baby for 7.00 pounds and to be honest i really dont think the quality is much different.
Another Topshop look alike is this snood. You would have seen something like this featured in one of my "What i want from topshop" posts. I looked at the one in Topshop again because of it being 15.00pounds and my money being a little tight i had to contemplate. This was 4.00pounds from Primark. Not as nicer pink as the Topshop one but im more than happy with it!
Last but not least, i always buy my Pjs from Primark and i need a new set! These where 6.00pounds and they are super duper soft!!! I really wanted one of those all in one things you see in there window but due to them being so long you could fit me 3 times over in them. Maybe i should look in the kids section???
These where 6.00pounds.
I think all these bargins are great, what do you think?
Are you happy to buy dupes of things from Primark?
This weekend im headed to the Matthew street festival, one of my friends from work is playing with his band. Are any of you headed?

Doing a little more shopping, Oh dear!
It is currently 6am and I'm up eating my whole grain, wheatgerm, dried fruit and apricot mix and blogging who would have ever thought!
So on the weekend i did lots and lots of shopping, mainly of the food and house hold item kind but i did manage to pick up a few little goodies for myself.
On Saturday i went to Urban Outfitters and Lush. I got the tights that i featured in my "what i want Urban Outfitters" the other week. There really nice and i wore them yesterday to my first day of work (sorry there is no outfit i had no time in the morning and i forgot at night but as soon as I'm dressed today i will endeavor to take a decent one, wheres the bf when you need him hey?).
In Lush i had to buy a soap again this is only my second ever purchase from lush so i asked the sales consultant for some help. I like gritty soap so i got the sand stone one which has actual sand in it. To which my lovely boy friend replied "Alex don't you know sand gets stuck everywhere!"

I have used it once and will do a review when I'm finished!
On Sunday we ventured into this little lollie/sweet shop that opened maybe about a month ago in Liverpool near Central station. It is so beautiful inside and there choice is AMAZING!!! The bags are 99p per 100g so i think that's pretty good. I'm Alex and I'm a gobstopper addict!!!
Then i was bound for Boots, i needed to buy some kind of product for my hair and i decided with TRESemme heat defence only because i have used it before. I will become more adventurious when this is done. I got the Gosh primer because i need one and people seam to rave about this. I also bought a little eye shadow brush and a Bourjois blush in Rose.
Again i will review all these at a later date when i have used them all.
Then yesterday was my first day at work, i had a great time and all the people are so lovely. We did although get let out early and because i was meeting Kirk in Liverpool i had some time to kill so in comes Topshop and there sale which Kirk had steered me clear of all weekend. It was like a normal Topshop sale shear MADNESS! Stuff everywhere, crazy women but as the really nice guy behind the counter said "its all in a days work!"
I picked up this little number after seeing it screwed up on the floor. Its a little Playsuit with hearts all over it and heart detail buttons. I'm so excited about it as i don't own a playsuit and also i considered ordering this in the online sale but they only had 10s which this is not!
At 12.00pounds I'm going to wear it on Friday for dress down day whooooo.
How where your weekends?
Have any of you hit up the Topshop sale?

A little shop.
Yesterday i went to Manchester with the little boy i look after (will post some photos about that soon) we did although get stuck in the Arndale centre for just under 2 hours due to heavy rain and at time hail!
Tragic i know!
So i dragged him to both Lush and Boots for my first Lush and Soap and Glory purchases.
Here is what i bought!

From Lush i picked up the Bubblegum lip scrub, i saw this on a blog (I'm sorry i cant remember which one) and i thought that looks yummy and guess what IT IS!!!! Its made with icing sugar and smells amazing. I have used so much already its kinda insane. It costs 4.50pounds and i will be buying more when I'm finished.
My Soap and Body purchase was made due to much pressure from Jess (Good morning beautiful her blog can be found in my side bar) i purchased a travel size of the Hand food. It feels good on my hands but due to me having a really really bad sense of smell i cant seam to smell it which is a little disappointing but I'm sure it smells amazing i just cant smell it. I will be buying more Soap and Glory when i can. It was 2.50pounds from Boots.
Also: I have almost hit 50 followers in under a month (i love you guys) so i will be doing a tiny little giveaway to show some appreciation when i get there!

My weekend.
This weekend was a good one, spent in Liverpool and getting to see almost all of my favourite people, which all happen to be kirk and his family.
On Saturday the boy and i went shopping at Liverpool one (i bought a few things i will post through the week) and had lunch at Gourmet Burger
Here are some photos:
I had the mint lamb burger, it was huge. (check the guy out behind me, think he enjoyed his meal?)
And Kirk had his tiny little cheese, bacon and beef burger. This was at least half the size of mine.
Then we ventured to HMV after searching high and low for the movie musical Hair (which we could not find) we bought Marley and Me. This is such a sad movie and i cry uncontrollably every time i watch it and Saturday night was no exception. If you have not seen this or read the book you MUST do so as its such a heart warming story!
Then we spent Sunday morning sleeping in and with me making breakfast whilst constantly checking emails in regards to moving into Liverpool, which will be happening in the next 2 weeks.
Heres Kirk in his brand new Everton shirt and his buzz light year mug.
And my outfit of the day: This is another Woodchip Boutique dress, teamed with my all time fave cardi as seen in my previous outfit post http://alexslifeafter20.blogspot.com/2010/07/outfit-of-day.html and I'm wearing navy tights and navy flats. With my Pandora bracelet and watch also.
